Very decent place. I booked way ahead of time, it was one of the rare good value place I found. Breakfast was included and it was tasty. Tea, coffee, hot food like scrambled eggs, sausage, mushrooms, baked beans, toast, plus cold food like yogurt, fruit, jam, juice, cold cuts of meat, slice cheese, flaky croissants and cakes!!! Polite and helpful staff. I knew I was going to be cold in the room (there is a heater), the blond lady found me another duvet and a few other extra items I asked for (Dank u wel!!!). You are on the borderline of the Redlight district and the hotel is also a pub, which I did not mind, but it was not rowdy inside. Just a lovely and decent establishment, both the hotel and the pub. P.S. Mickey, the elderly tuxedo cat, is the host and star of the place. I enjoyed his company and taking his pictures!!

Location, location, location. 5 minutes walk from the train station, central location for shops, restaurants, bars, tram stops, and also the famous red light area. I would definitely recommend the canal cruises that were literally opposite the back of the hotel. Reception staff were very friendly and we managed to check in early, the pub downstairs is very quirky with lots of character, lovely place for a few drinks after a long day walking before retiring to our room upstairs. Note some rooms at the back have a canal view which would have been nice.

The hotel is clean and the breakfast was lovely. You could have continental or cooked. There were sausages, boiled/scrambled eggs, hash browns, beans and mushrooms. The rooms were warm and the beds were comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This Hotel is in the heart of Amsterdam and has a lot of character. The bar is warm and has a nice atmosphere. There is a lift too which is good.

Linda

I had a room with a canal view, so every day I could enjoy the peaceful scenery and lovely seagull sounds. I slept well there, admired the cutest cat in the bar, contributing to the ambiance of feeling home. At first I wasn’t able to open my cold water tap – the receptionist noted my request and soon after it was fixed. Heating can be regulated, so the warmth was guaranteed for the time of my stay.

The location of the hotel is perfect. When you come to Amsterdam, everywhere you want to go is a few minutes away. The distance between Central Station and the hotel is at most 5 minutes, as is the shopping street. All the food and drink alternatives are around the hotel. Redlight is a few steps away. The farthest, Vondelpark, is 30-35 minutes away if you like walking.
